The Baluster collection draws inspiration from the balustrade, a ubiquitous structural and decorative element in colonial Hispanic architecture. As the central motif of every piece, wooden balusters are used primarily as a support structure, while their placements and variations create interesting, dynamic patterns. Gregoria, the award-winning design from the collection that put ITO KISH on the map, is an homage to her mom to whom it was named after. It is the collection’s piéce de résistance that very well expresses ITO KISH’s design philosophy- reimagined Filipino, that tells a story.
The Gregoria is made of kiln-dried Gmelina wood and rattan.
ITO KISH Design Collections are mostly made-to-order with 30- to 40- working days production lead time. Packaging is basic to protect surfaces and corners. Cost for box, crating, and delivery will be an additional cost if required.
